STICKER
Input

There are many applications where an external sensor is needed, such as high-temperature measurement, voltage measurement, current measurement, and so on. A very popular bus for various sensors is the so-called 1-Wire interface. With STICKER Input, connecting 1-Wire sensors is easy and allows you to transfer the measured values wirelessly to your application. STICKER Input can also read digital 12V or 24V signals or directly measure voltages up to 30V on up to two channels.

Typical use cases

Temperature monitoring within a manufacturing process may require a large temperature range, up to hundreds of degrees. Conventional electronics cannot withstand these ranges, and therefore, a specific external temperature sensor is required. Examples include monitoring the injection mold space or perhaps the material's preheating temperature prior to welding. The advantage of the 1-Wire bus is that you can connect up to 10 sensors on the same line. This makes it possible to obtain very detailed data.

However, digitization is usually problematic in older machines that are still producing well. Many of these machines have a digital output of 24V industrial logic, or it is possible to simply add an inductive sensor close to, for example, the output plow that ejects finished products from the machine. This provides a digital signal to indicate that another piece has been produced on the machine.

Detection of open doors or windows is a very common use-case, not only in building security. This information is also very useful when planning the cooling or heating of buildings. However, conventional "security" systems are unnecessarily expensive for these applications because they have to meet various security standards. STICKER Input is a very good alternative in this respect. It contains a magnetic field detector, so you just place a small magnet on the door, and open/close detection is a reality. Alternatively, digital inputs can be used to detect opening/closing using conventional switches.
