CHESTER
Motion

It is important to monitor the number of people passing through the various aisles in logistics, production, retail, or, for example, at a cultural event. Measurements of this type are needed for planning, security, or the development of business strategy and marketing.

HARDWARIO CHESTER Motion can be easily used to obtain this data. It senses how many people have passed before it and sends the data wirelessly to the cloud or a system within your local network.

Typical use cases

Monitoring aisles in industry is very important for planning logistics routes with materials for production or finished products. This measurement helps to improve logistics, which can reduce downtime in production. At the same time, various safety incidents can be avoided, which otherwise arise if some aisles are too busy and people must avoid each other in different ways.

If you own a supermarket, you must wonder which aisles people go to and in what numbers, which aisle they go to most often, or what part of the aisle they walk through. Such data plays a big role in planning the placement of actionable items, properly organizing the entire store, and thus improving the customer experience. Exactly this data can be captured with CHESTER Motion.

Monitoring natural protected areas can be difficult. They are often large areas with no power connection. The CHESTER Motion is suitable for such areas, as it can run for many years on batteries and send information on, for example, the number of passes on various hiking trails or critical protected areas. It can also monitor whether visitors are venturing outside the permitted areas.
